Funding Opportunities

Through funding made available under Florida Senate Bill 112, our program offers competitive opportunities to support innovative education and training initiatives across the state. These funds are designed to expand access, encourage pilot programming, and support professional development that aligns with the goals of the legislation.

Available opportunities include support for Charter School Programs, Summer School Programs, Pilot Grants and Travel Awards. Each funding stream has specific eligibility criteria and application requirements, outlined in the sections below.

Charter School Programs

Funding provided through Florida Senate Bill 112 supports charter schools across the state in developing and strengthening innovative educational and training programs. These opportunities are designed to expand access, support new ideas, and enhance learning experiences for students.

Summer Programs

Guided by Florida Senate Bill 112, the University of Florida Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment (UF CAN) offers startup grant funding to support the development of summer programs for children with autism spectrum disorder. These programs are designed to provide structured, supportive environments that promote continuity of care, skill development, and social engagement during the summer months.

Funding is available for qualified applicants developing programs for children with autism for whom traditional summer camps may not be appropriate. Additional details, eligibility requirements, and application information are available through the link below.
